KROHNE SUMMARY: The primary function of the Inside Sales Engineer is to provide excellent customer service to our Regional Sales Managers, affiliated representative companies, and end customers. In support of this goal the Inside Sales Engineer will provide technical review of applications, commercial review of terms and conditions, and make the best possible recommendations in order to satisfy the needs of our customers. The Inside Sales Engineer will need to provide technical recommendations, supply quotations based on those recommendations, and provide insight into competing technologies. The Inside Sales Engineer will support specific geographical regions and key customers in order to develop a positive working relationship with those customers and ultimately meet sales goals set by the management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support Regional Sales Managers, affiliated representative companies, and end customers through technical application assessment, product presentations and recommendations, quotation generation and periodic contact. Communicate efficiently with contacts both internal and external to KROHNE maintaining information to be shared with local DSMs and sales managers. Assist affiliated representative companies with product selection and pricing. Coordinate customer development efforts closely with outside sales representatives and Regional Sales Managers. Prepare quotations and offers as well as assist in order entry as needed. Follow up on quotations and commitments. Work with resources within KROHNE to develop and coordinate technical and commercial responses to Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and sales leads. Work with resources within KROHNE to develop and coordinate technical and commercial responses based on Purchase Orders issued by customers. Obtain delivery commitments from production teams prior to finalizing quotations. Prepare or coordinate development of project documentation and submittals. Provide technical assistance to KROHNE sales channels and customers on the use of online sales tools. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Provide responses to inquiries in a timely fashion. Generate and provide quotations within a 24-hour window. When this is not possible, continue a dialogue to ensure effective and open communication. Meet quotation and sales goals as established by the management team. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a math or science related field is preferred but not required. Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics Engineering background is preferred. Customer service experience is a plus but not essential. Work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and teamwork are required for this position since this individual will interact directly with departments inside and outside the organization and with numerous levels of management. This individual will also be responsible to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Individual may be required to write routine reports.
All correspondence, communication, work instructions (both verbal and written) will be in English. The successful person must be capable of clearly understanding and interpreting into action these directions.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is required.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form is required.
Computer Skills: Experience and familiarity with MS Office, especially MS Excel is required. Ability to learn and utilize ERP and CRM systems is necessary for success.

Other Skills: Must be able to work autonomously and be a motivated self-starter. The employee must possess excellent social interaction skills, as well as excellent communication, organizational and technical skills. PC literacy is required. Previous ERP experience preferred.
