Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is seeking a Data Analyst with strong SQL experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. In this role the Data Analyst will be responsible for working on big data/analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, perform analysis, interpret results, and develop actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. Assists internal customers in identifying and documenting business requirements, and translating those into functional reports and dashboards. Acquires data from multiple data sources in order to perform analysis. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Interprets data and analyzes results using various statistical techniques and tools. Presents data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so they can activate upon them and make data-driven decisions. Collaborates with various partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis. Measures and monitors results of applied recommendations and presents adjustments. Ensures all data acquisition, sharing, and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days at one of the following locations: Fargo, NDSaint Paul, MNIrving, TXCincinnati, OHBasic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to four years of data analysis experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in SQL/SAS for querying data and for data manipulation/transformation
- Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, predictive modeling
- Sufficient analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Sufficient ability with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Power BI experience preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with limited direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with customers and team members across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated comfort with an agile development environment.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of corporate banking and its general structure, Small Business operations, product life-cycles preferred
