Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Learning and Development to lead our organization's training strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance employee skills, drive performance improvement, and foster professional growth.
Essential Functions Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a learning and development strategy that aligns with SERVPRO's business goals and ensures a continuous learning culture. Program Design and Development: Design, implement, and oversee a range of training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, leadership development, soft skills, compliance training, and more, catering to various employee levels and job functions. Training Content Creation: Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and impactful training materials, utilizing a mix of multimedia resources, e-learning platforms, workshops, seminars, and virtual learning environments. Needs Assessment: Collaborate with field leadership, corporate department heads, executives, and other teams to identify skills gaps and training requirements, staying attuned to industry trends and best practices. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external training vendors, e-learning platforms, consultants, and other partners to ensure high-quality, cost-effective training solutions. Metrics and Evaluation: Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training programs, track progress, and analyze data to make improvements. Change Management: Facilitate the implementation of new processes, technologies, or changes within the organization through comprehensive training initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all training programs are in line with industry regulations, legal requirements, and compliance standards. Experience and Skill Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field. 3+ years proven experience in designing and implementing learning and development programs. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and e-learning technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Familiarity with training software, learning management systems (LMS), and digital learning tools. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
