Position Overview The Instructor Trainer will provide educational and training support for the Faculty, Staff, and Student Development (FSSD) program at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). This role involves training and guiding METC faculty and staff in instructional delivery methods, curriculum development, and the attainment of higher education degrees or certifications. The Instructor Trainer will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in instructional strategies, techniques, and educational technologies to enhance the quality of instruction and improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery and Guidance -Provide guidance and training to METC faculty and staff on college-level instruction and curriculum delivery.
-Serve as SME for instructional strategies and techniques to enhance learning outcomes.
-Address instructional competency and evaluation issues, offering constructive advice and solutions.
-Develop educational procedures, standards, and performance requirements to evaluate instructor preparation and effectiveness.
-Train instructors in innovative teaching methods and instructional techniques to facilitate student learning.
Curriculum Development and Evaluation -Develop and revise courses to incorporate new concepts and technologies in instructional delivery.
-Evaluate student attrition rates and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes.
-Ensure proper academic preparation of incoming students by screening prerequisites for component services.
-Design and develop instructional programs based on approved critical objectives and performance standards.
Instructional Program Management -Collaborate with the FSSD supervisor to assess and enhance the effectiveness of instructional delivery programs.
-Report annually to the Instructional Delivery Department (IDD) Associate Dean on program goals, trends, evaluations, and recommended solutions.
-Stay current on educational technology, strategies, and techniques through research, seminars, and continuing education.
-Evaluate component service policies and procedures to ensure alignment with instructional and training goals.
Training and Consultation -Provide training programs to teaching staff on instructional strategies, techniques, and procedures.
-Serve as a consultant on training literature and instructional methodologies to support faculty and staff development.
-Plan and schedule briefings for staff related to instructional delivery at METC.
-Document the effectiveness of briefings using surveys, feedback, and communication.
Program Innovation and Improvement -Monitor advancements in instructional delivery technologies and methodologies to implement innovative practices.
-Develop methods to address training challenges and improve student outcomes using technology and other strategies.
-Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance instructional delivery programs.
Qualifications and Skills -Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional training, education, or curriculum development.
-Expertise in instructional delivery strategies and techniques, with knowledge of educational technologies.
-Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and consultation skills, with the ability to provide constructive guidance.
-Familiarity with military training environments and accreditation guidelines is a plus.
