ResponsibilitiesOversee, supervise, and assist in the performance of expansion, maintenance, calibration, repairs, testing, and commissioning of I&C devices and systems.Collaborate with the engineering team to design, install, and commission new I&C systems and components.Develop software and programming for new and modified control systems, either independently or with the support of third-party vendors.Document, manage, and maintain an inventory of I&C parts and equipment for repairs and replacements.Conduct compliance audits and calibrations to ensure accuracy of records and reports.Research, propose, recommend, and implement new I&C systems, improvements, repairs, or modifications to existing systems.Respond to emergency situations promptly, coordinating I&C staff and implementing corrective measures as necessary.Continuously seek to improve operational performance, capability, and cybersecurity posture of I&C systems.Provide technical assistance regarding control software and hardware selection, lifecycle management, system interoperability, and design feasibility during upgrades. Minimum QualificationsUp to 10 years of relevant or transferable experience.In-depth knowledge of steam boilers, turbine generators, electric generators, and related Power Plant equipment. Preferred QualificationsDegree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field with strong controls experience.Understanding of the theory and operation of steam boilers, turbine generators, electric generators, and related Power Plant equipment.Experience with Distributed Control Systems (preferably Delta V), process controls, network communications, and instrumentation operation, calibration, and troubleshooting.CFC license preferred.Training and competency in Emerson Delta V DCS platform.Willing and able to acquire other advanced certifications as required by future regulations and departmental needs.
