All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is confirmed.* General Description of Job: This role will be the SME on instrumentation for CP USA and will be responsible for reviewing specifications & contract drawings to select appropriate instrumentation, accessories to fit project applications. Creating datasheets, calibration reports, assembly, installation, testing & certifying installation per contract specifications & creating any final reports needed for O&M. The pay for this job is dependent on experience (DOE).
Duties to include but not limited to: • Act as the subject matter expert for external and internal clients on instrumentation selection and analysis.
• Lead and prepare instrumentation engineering/design deliverables, including Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Location Plans, reviewing Wiring Diagrams, and Loop Diagrams.
• Interpret and check varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, vendor supplied drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Review submittals, any relevant documents, testing results and applicable drawings or specifications.
• Performs calibration & documentation of purchased equipment prior to commissioning and provide start-up support.
• Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly used I&C engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the engineering services industry
• Work with purchasing managing vendor relationships, attaining vendor quotes and best pricing.
Requirements: • 2+ years of experience in relative Instrumentation experience
• Experience with Instrument Specifications and Data Sheet Creation
• Experience with Field Instrument Installation Requirements
• Experience with P&ID's
• Wide knowledge of multiple models and manufactures of instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical instrumentation such as turbidity, chlorine, pH, DO, etc.
• Understand the principles of operations, terminology, safety considerations, and applications for standard analytical instruments.
• Excellent planning, organization, and follow-through skills
