Job Description
We are currently hiring a Controls Technician in Cincinnati, OH.
Instrumentation Engineers are responsible for high-level electrical, instrumentation, process, and equipment knowledge for diagnoses, repair, and improvement.
Controls Technicians will maintain and calibrate brewery instrumentation, electrical control systems, Relates PLC/HMI/VFD program data, process networks, and equipment parameters following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
Must be a self-starter willing to accept "operational responsibility" and be ready to work any shift, including weekends.
What You'll Brew: Responsible for diagnostics, repair, maintain and calibrate brewery processes, electrical control systems, and instrumentation.
Must be proficient with PLCs and related controls. Diagnose and repair process control equipment including, automatic control valves, positioners, actuators, and instrument devices.
Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical control panels, equipment, and related systems. Diagnose and repair electrical, instrumental, and process malfunctions - must be fluent in electrical, instrument, and mechanical troubleshooting. Liaison critical technical information to customers, including Engineering, Quality, operations, and maintenance.
Must be proficient in reporting and maintaining work, control data, and systems. Develop and implement standards to support personnel training & equipment reliability improvements.
What Ingredients You'll Bring: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and relevant technical knowledge required. Minimum of 4+ years' experience and knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices.
Allen Bradley experience preferred. Advanced PLC Knowledge; programming experience: Allen Bradley systems, Modicon systems, Discrete I/O interfacing, troubleshooting, Backplane, Networking, Event Sequencing, Application Development, Program control instructions, Math and Data programming instructions, Analog communications (instrument interfacing), HMI application modifications building, Analog configuration, and troubleshooting, Network building, communications, and troubleshooting, Produced/ consumed Data & messages and Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair Ethernet/IP Mechanical; Mechanical drives, Gearboxes, Pneumatics, Advanced: controllers, vacuum systems, interfacing, Valve controls and calibrations, Mech-atronics; Robots application experience, interfacing, Automation controls an application Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, or MS Access.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) is a plus. Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred Experience in high speed manufacturing environments Experience in Brewing processes Experience in working in PSM regulated processes, including ammonia systems.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and Company policy, please be aware that the pay rate for this role, if hired, is determined by the collective bargaining agreement with the applicable Union.
As of the time of posting, pay for this position starts at $40.11 per hour.
Consistent with the collective bargaining agreement, pay rate will increase incrementally thereafter based on seniority.
