Our Offer to You: Site: Conklin, Alberta Schedule: 7 on, 7 off, 12 hours per day Accommodations: Camp accommodations provided Compensation: Competitive wages, Vacation Pay, RRSP's, Health & Dental Benefits Why Work For Us: Stuart Olson is currently seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to join our maintenance team at our client site in Conklin, AB.
Responsibilities: Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs transmitters, switches, control valves. Calibrates and adjusts set points on a variety of different instruments. Coordinates with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers. Installs and troubleshoots tubing and air actuated instruments. Observes functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Repairs faulty equipment or systems. Completes client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations, and Lockouts. Possesses strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities. Maintains a positive attitude towards safety and works collaboratively with the team. Exhibits good written and verbal communication skills. Focuses on customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician ticket. Industrial maintenance experience working on a SAGD petro-chemical facility is an asset. CSTS 2020. Energy Safety Canada (ESC): H2S Alive. ESC Fall Protection. ESC Confined Space. Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing. Valid driver's license and current driver abstract. Working Conditions: CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required. Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and wintry weather conditions; in and around noise and dust. Coveralls, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat, and gloves are provided. Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance. Stand or walk for extended periods of time and able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
