Job Summary: The Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center Intake Clinician will serve as the initial clinical point of contact for individuals receiving Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center services including all services delivered to youth, adults and families experiencing behavioral health challenges through the MassHealth funded Community Behavioral Health Center. The Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center Intake Clinician will conduct initial needs assessments and oversee the coordination of the individual's ongoing participation in the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center. This position contributes to Bay Coves mission by its participation in a program taking a recovery oriented approach to providing access to services that address the needs of community members most impacted by deleterious social determinants of health.
This is an exempt position.
Essential Functions of the Position: Serve as the initial point of clinical contact for the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center coordinating referrals from outside agencies and from within Bay Cove.
Coordinate initial assessments of needs and participate in coordination of care for each Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center service participant.
Maintain a caseload of Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center service participants for outpatient therapy.
Operate effectively in a team-approach with ability to coordinate with Bay Cove partners involved in the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center
Maintain updated clinical records of individual or group clients as specified by the policies and procedures of the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center
Coordinate treatment with other involved parties as appropriate, i.e., other psychiatric and/or medical treaters, other service providers, significant client supports, etc
Ensure timely clinical documentation fulfilling requisite standards regarding medical necessity and description of services related to the treatment plan and/or any crisis concerns.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements: Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field required.
LICSW, LMHC, or other behavioral health category which qualifies as an Independently Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts preferred
At least one year of experience providing services to adults with mental health challenges.
Experience in working with the target population of Bay Cove's Behavioral Health Outpatient Services.
Solid understanding of clinical and recovery principles
Professional writing and oral communications skills
High degree of personal organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
Proficiency in word processing and other computer functions using Windows, Word, and Google Email and Apps
Use of personal cellular telephone for work communication
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; candidates with fluency in specific essential languages offer a pay differential
