Responsibilities Come Join the Team! INTAKE COORDINATOR - RN Part-Time located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Psychiatric Unit, Magnolia Campus in Corona, Ca.
Reporting to the Program Director, the Charge Nurse - Intake has the accountability for the intake assessment, screening and disposition/referral of patients referred. Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills on the application of nursing process skills to deliver quality care to adults and geriatric clients. Prepares reports as requested. Provides relief and coverage to perform intake assessments for the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, provides break relief coverage for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit as needed.

Qualifications ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Excellent understanding of HMO, PPO, Medicare & Medi-Cal; pre-authorization/pre-certification process, reimbursement and payor criteria. Knowledge of Patient Rights.
Psychiatric nursing experience with excellent assessment skills.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE One year experience in acute care psychiatric nursing required. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days of date of hire.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS Current California RN license required. Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
