IPR Senior Attorney Intellectual Property Our client is seeking a senior attorney to join their Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group in Washington, DC.
The Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group consists of approximately 100 attorneys who provide comprehensive services across the life cycle of clients' most valuable assets, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and other related issues. The Patent Litigation team brings extensive trial and appellate experience, along with a strategic approach and technical expertise, to protect and defend clients' patent rights, particularly within the life sciences and technology sectors.
Key Qualifications: A minimum of six years of experience in post-grant proceedings, including IPR and PGR.A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.Admission to practice before the USPTO is required.Patent litigation experience before the PTAB is essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience in invalidity analysis of patents and prior art, drafting IPR/PGR petitions, legal and technical briefing, working with experts, preparing expert testimony, and conducting/defending expert depositions.Oral advocacy experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board is preferred.Licensure:
Applicants must be currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position in Washington, DC is $250,000 to $280,000, commensurate with experience.
Eligibility for an hours-based bonus is available.
