The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Commodity Products, and Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
Background on the Team
The Rates Bank and Corporate Strategy Team based in New York is seeking an Associate or Vice President to help with booking entity migration and building out the corporate business. Products covered by the team include interest rate derivatives, government bonds, repurchase agreements, vanilla and exotic options.

Key Responsibilities:
Work on key initiatives within Rates Bank and Corporate Strategy Team via the development and implementation of booking entity migration
Work closely with Corporate Sales to build out the Corporate Rates business 
Assist with financial analysis (e.g. pnl, capital, liquidity) 
Track client migration progress and status 
Assist with presentations and materials to management and regulators, as well as other ad-hoc requests 
Work on new product approval requirements 
Identify areas of project management inefficiency and proactively propose and implement improvements
Provide derivatives trade booking guidance to Sales, Trading and Operations and ensure accurate and timely booking 
Identify and resolve trade breaks 
Manage operational setups and streamline processes 

Qualifications:
5 years of Derivatives experience required 
Experience in Rates Middle Office within Investment Banking and Financial Services preferred 
Background in financial business performance and planning (P&L, Capital, Expenses, etc.)
Familiarity with various Dodd-Frank margin requirements 
Highly team oriented, commercially driven and overall eagerness to learn
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to research, collect and manage large datasets 
Strong organizational skills and project management skills with the ability to efficiently multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to share information in comprehensible formats
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly grasp key concepts
High proficiency in PowerPoint and MS Excel, with an ability to analyze large datasets, distill conclusions and create dashboards

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between$150,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Associate, and$225,000 to $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Vice President. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
