Interim Employment Law Attorney (Transactional Focus) Location: St. Louis, MO Start Date: Immediate We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney for an interim position based in St. Louis, MO, to manage transactional client matters. This role requires expertise in employment law, particularly in advising clients on matters such as EEOC claims, workplace discrimination, employee handbooks, policies, and compliance. The successful candidate will provide practical legal advice to clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Responsibilities: Advise clients on EEOC claims and responses, including related documentation and processes. Counsel clients on workplace discrimination issues, investigating claims, and developing strategies for resolution. Review, draft, and update employee handbooks and company policies to ensure compliance with employment regulations. Assist with employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and other related documentation. Provide guidance on compliance with federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and others. Conduct employee training on workplace policies and legal issues as needed. Stay updated on changes in employment law and inform clients of potential impacts on their business operations. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri State Bar. Minimum of 5 years of employment law experience, with a strong focus on transactional matters. Extensive knowledge of EEOC claims, workplace discrimination, employee handbook policies, and compliance requirements. Ability to handle client matters independently and efficiently. Excellent communication, research, and writing skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a variety of industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
