Location: Athens, Greece Type: Independent Contractor on as needed basis Industry: Oil & Gas Job Summary: As an Intermediate/Senior Civil, Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural components for oil and gas projects. Based in Athens, Greece, you will work as an independent contractor, leveraging your expertise to ensure the successful execution of complex engineering tasks and projects. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and Development:Develop detailed CSA designs and specifications for oil and gas projects.Create and review engineering drawings and structural calculations.Develop detailed structural 3D models. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.Develop engineering designs for Oil & Gas structural steel systems such as pipe racks, equipment supporting structures, industrial buildings, platforms. Detail design and engineering of structural steel connections. Detail design and engineering of reinforced concrete foundations for structures and equipment. Develop detailed Material Takeoffs, ITPs, CWPs and project technical descriptions. Develop structural engineering calculation reports. Detail design and engineering of underground drainage systems, containment pits and site preparation designs.Document control. General support to the Civil, Structural team. Site visits and inspections. Support in providing Civil, Structural production estimates, schedules and deliverables lists. 2. Project Management:Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.3. Technical Support:Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.Troubleshoot and resolve Civil, Structural issues during project execution and commissioning.Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.4. Compliance and Safety:Ensure all Civil, Structural systems and installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and oversee safety protocols and procedures for Civil, Structural work.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.5. Documentation and Reporting:Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports and manuals.Present project updates and technical findings to stakeholders and clients.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and performance metrics.Qualifications & Skills:University Diploma in Civil Engineering, preferably with specialization in structural engineering. 5-10 years of experience in Civil, Structural engineering within the oil and gas industry.Proficiency in design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Advance Steel, STAAD).Strong understanding of Greek and industry standards and regulations.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Strong project management skills and attention to detail.Licensed Greek professional engineer with stamping capacity, fluent in English.
