Our client in Burr Ridge, IL is looking for a sales executive with intermodal sales experience and intermodal knowledge. The position encompasses a blend of Inside/Outside Sales. We are looking for someone with 3 or more years of sales experience in 3PL (Third party logistics), or asset-based intermodal services provider who demonstrates strong organizational skills and has a keen eye for detail.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organizations.
•Identify opportunities by selling a large service portfolio.
•Design solutions and help customers solve their supply challenges through face-to face interaction with accounts.
•Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of account metrics.
•Identify and sell both transactional contractual pricing models.
•Present pricing options and receive support from the leadership team.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or related field experience preferred.
•3+ years of Intermodal sales experience or working for a 3PL or asset-based intermodal services provider.
•Possess an entrepreneurial attitude, competitive spirit, and leadership qualities.
•Strong negotiation skills.
•Ability to work independently and as a team.
•Effective oral and written communication skills.
•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
•Possess a strong sense of urgency and time management.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
