This internship program is an opportunity for undergraduates to contribute to EFW's mission while developing valuable professional skills. The ideal candidate will learn the industry through the lens of EFW. As part of the internship, EFW will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that the intern truly understands Tradeshow transportation and logistics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to special projects in support of operational initiatives. Support the operations department leadership with administrative duties, such as tracking and sending routing documentation. Perform various administrative, including tracking freight, learning about routing opportunities, working with various teams to learn many aspects of corporate ops functions at EFW. Weekly check-ins with EFW leadership to review impactful success of internship. Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures. Regular attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. A history of achievement and aptitude demonstrated by a 3.0 GPA, and/or other recognition such as scholarships, awards, and honor societies. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Outstanding interpersonal and skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of an organization. Must be flexible, aptitude for critical thinking, act, and prioritize in a pressured, fast pace environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications required. Dependability in terms of attendance, meeting deadlines and punctuality. An ingrained concern for the customer and representing our Company in the best professional manner possible. Innovation and strong problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong financial and analytical skills Honesty, integrity, professionalism and confidentiality are required. Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts. Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems. Must be eligible to work in the United States. At this time, EFW will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
