At Micron, we tackle challenging tactical and technical problems to meet the demands of our fast-paced and dynamic development environment! As an intern in the Dry Etch Process Development Team, you will gain hands-on experience in developing and optimizing etch processes for the next generation of Micron's memory parts.
This internship is designed to provide an immersive experience into semiconductor processing. You will be working under the mentorship of one of our senior engineers, in a highly collaborative atmosphere, to find innovative solutions to meet the detailed physical and electrical requirements for our products.
Job Responsibilities may include:
Developing etch processes to meet the physical and electrical requirements of Micron's products.
Collaborating with other process and equipment team members to drive process improvements.
Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current processes.
Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products.
Performing statistical data analysis on a technology development pilot manufacturing line.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in experimental design and data analysis.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.
Proficiency in statistics, preferably in statistical process control.
Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments.
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.
Knowledge of semiconductor processing, solid-state device physics, and of dry etch processing or plasma physics is desirable.
Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing a M.S./Ph.D. (or equivalent education) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical fields.
Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2024.
