Job DescriptionJob Description:The Process Improvement Intern applies engineering skills and knowledge to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Essentia Health processes. The intern works closely with experienced professionals to identify areas for improvement, analyze data, and implement innovative solutions to optimize patient care delivery.Education Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities within the Essentia Health organizationUtilizes engineering principles and methodologies to design and implement process improvement initiativesConducts data analysis and gathers relevant information to understand current processes and identify areas for optimizationCollaborates with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and challenges and provide innovative solutionsAssists in the implementation of process improvement projects, including data collection, analysis, and reportingDevelops and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to document process changesEducational Requirements:Currently pursuing a degree at Iron Range Engineering (IRE) and in the Co-Op phase of the programRequired Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify improvement opportunitiesProficiency in data analysis tools and softwareKnowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervisionJob Location: Building D - Miller Dwan Medical Center - EH DuluthShift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States of America)Shift Start/End: /Hours Per Pay Period:Compensation Range: $25.00 - $25.00 / hourUnion:FTE: 1Weekends:Call Obligations:Sign On Bonus:
