Department: Maintenance Services
Location: Nebraska City Station
Duration: Summer (May-Aug) 2025
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 10 hour day, with a start time of 6am to 4pm.
(40 hrs a week)
Pay: $19.38 - $23.69 (per hour)
Job Responsibilities:
The Intern would shadow current Maintenance Program Specialist team overseeing contractors.
Duties would be training, badging, contract requisition creation, and invoice approval training.
Attending daily and weekly meetings, and possibly accompanying the MPS team to the new and existing peaking generation units.
Understand the functions of a power plant through daily exposure and possibly some classroom training sessions.
Qualifications
Specific fields of study required: Project Management or Construction Management
2.5 GPA or higher is required
Sophomore or higher college level
Current full-time student attending an accredited college/university
Project Management Skills
Require good interpersonal, management and administrative skills, a positive attitude and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
Ability to manage multiple projects and execute assigned projects while working with other professionals in a team based environment.
Be able to work in a power plant environment.
Technical Ability (i.e.
software):
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Asset Suite, Excel
