Essential Job Functions: Applies proven writing and communications skills to plan, edit, and deliver thoughtful, effective content for internal and external audiences.Strong writer for a variety of digital and print media content.Consults with subject matter experts and colleagues to obtain information needed to produce compelling content.Writes relevant, useful, and conversational content, ensuring voice and messaging are consistent with the university's brand.Produces persuasive business or promotional materials.Interacts and collaborates with students, faculty, administrators, and staff to develop relevant and timely stories.Participates in the development or implementation of efficient communications strategies.Collaborates with NSU PR/Marketing Advertising & Analytics and Web teams.Completes special projects as assigned.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Thorough knowledge of the English language and composition.Knowledge of video and digital media production.General knowledge of customer and personal service principles.General knowledge of computer hardware and software.Google analytics and SEO knowledge.Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or related field.
Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in video/digital news communications.Basic digital and graphic content experience.Diverse news and digital content portfolio.Video editing and CMS web platform experience.Ecomms and web-based news experience.Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English & Spanish).
