Job Description - INTERNATIONAL CREDENTIAL EVALUATOR (T219474) The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an INTERNATIONAL CREDENTIAL EVALUATOR to evaluate foreign credentials, convert foreign grading scales, and assist in admissions decision processing for international applicants to undergraduate UAB programs, as well as INTO UAB Pathway and Academic English programs.
Responsibilities:Evaluates foreign credentials, converts foreign grading scales, and assists in admissions decision processing for international applicants to undergraduate UAB programs, as well as INTO UAB Pathway and Academic English programs.Serves as Designated School Official for F-1 student visa purposes and maintains current information on immigration matters.Evaluates financial and application documentation, issues immigration documents for new and continuing international students, and updates student records in various databases.Conducts research to determine if post-secondary institution(s) are accredited and/or recognized using reference books and internet resources to determine whether UAB requirements are met.Works with the UAB Office of Admissions and the INTO Application Processing Center on application decisions, processes, and procedures.Works with enrollment managers and credential evaluators at other IUP partnerships to advance best practices.Stays up to date on evaluation standards, educational practices, and the latest information on academic policy regarding international admissions standards at the undergraduate and graduate level.Performs other duties as assigned.(Hourly Rate: $18.35 - $24.00)
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
