The IWM – COO and Strategy team is a collaborative group of industry professionals who enjoy designing and leading change. We are looking to hire an Associate-level member on our team to help analyze, develop and execute strategic initiatives to support Morgan Stanley's globally-focused financial advisors and international clients.
Recent initiatives include but are not limited to the development of the Intermediary segment, market expansion strategy, connectivity with E-trade, assessing competitive positioning and supporting the execution of weekly, monthly and offsite business management working sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
Support advisors in the development of Intermediary relationships, servicing offshore clients. Act as a central touchpoint between home office teams (Investment, Lending, Wealth Planning, Legal, Risk and Compliance) and the field
Conduct a range of data related queries (e.g. competition, pricing, product) and provide proactive solutions/recommendations based on findings
Support growth strategy and business management initiatives through problem solving, issue analysis, financial modeling and project management
Develop and present recommendations to complex business issues
Collaborate regularly with financial advisors on specific client deals, organize client meetings and follow-up on the opportunity/sales process
Prepare presentations for senior internal and external audiences
Develop marketing materials for educational and client purposes
Monitor industry trends and provide analysis of competitive developments to the IWM team and senior management
Contribute to a team environment of organizational support and collaboration
Experience Required:
2-3 years of experience in a strategy, sales, relationship management
Bachelor degree required
Strong track record of academic and professional excellence and achievement
Highly proficient in Excel
Advanced Knowledge of Powerpoint
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Good understanding of the Wealth Management space with an interest for International Wealth Management. Ideally prior global/international experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong data and analytical skills
Solution-based and results oriented skillset with ability to conceptualize and execute
Spanish/Portuguese languages would be a plus
Solid presentation, and interpersonal skills. Comfortable to partner/communicate across all ranks and functions
Proactive and independent attitude
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 60000 and 110000 per year at the commencement of employment.However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
