Interventional Radiology Technician Role Summary We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician to join our team. The Interventional Radiology Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs interventional radiology (IR) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury per established protocols. The ideal candidate can perform high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol promptly and can explain the procedure and put patients at ease.
Key Results Area Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
Assist the proceduralist during neuro-interventional and other complex cases
Operate the power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Maintain sterile techniques and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays
Document in the hospital's electronic medical records and send images to the Sectra/PACs system
Skills & Qualifications Three (3) to Five (5) years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience or Cardiac vascular technologist with radiological NJ Licensure ARRT
Must have BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Strong knowledge of floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
Able to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
Proof of either the primary COVID vaccine series plus at least one (1) booster or the Bivalent COVID vaccine or the ******** Monovalent COVID vaccine
