Full job description Introduction The Department of Health Services (DHS), Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) and Mendota Mental Health Institute (MMHI) are recruiting for Inventory Control Coordinators (ICC).
CWC provides short-term and long-term residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential.
MMHI is an inpatient psychiatric facility, with one outpatient program, specializing in serving patients with complex psychiatric conditions, often combined with certain problem behaviors. A secure setting to meet the legal and behavioral needs of our patients is provided. MMHI is an integral part of the entire Wisconsin mental health service delivery system.
CWC and MMHI are located on the north side of Madison and are a part of the Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS). These positions will typically work Monday-Friday with daytime hours. We offer a team-oriented atmosphere and a focus on work-life balance.
Position Summary As an ICC, you will be responsible for daily stores and warehouse operations; oversee daily inventory, supplies, shipping and receiving for CWC and MMHI shared services stores, warehouse and logistics operations; and utilize the STAR inventory module and computer tracking software daily for these tasks.
Salary Information The starting pay is $18.49 per hour (approximately $38,500 per year) for hires after June 30, 2024, plus excellent benefits. This is a minimum increase for all ICC positions. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. These positions are in pay schedule and range 03/10.
Job Details All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC/MMHI or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
These positions have physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting 30 pounds, standing, sitting, kneeling, and stooping. Applicants may be required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.
These positions require the ability to drive a State vehicle. In order to become authorized to drive a State vehicle, you must meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy, which are:
Must have a valid driver's license, Must have minimum of two years licensed driving experience, Must be 18 years of age. Additionally, your driving record MUST NOT reflect any of the following conditions:
Three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two years, Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)/Driving Under the Influence (DUI) citation within the past 12 months, Suspension or revocation of driver's license. DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Qualifications In addition to meeting the driver's license and fleet requirements described above, minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
Experience in warehouse and inventory management and using inventory management software. Experience in shipping and receiving. Experience using warehouse and inventory handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
Experience working in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Experience working with a diverse customer base such as physicians, nurses, therapist, and facility and environmental services. Experience using Oracle based inventory management software. The letter of qualifications is limited to one (1) page.
