SUPPLIER QUALITY & SERVICES COORDINATOR Jagemann Stamping Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supplier Quality & Services Coordinator to support suppliers to meet our quality standards and implement continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing scheduling, administrative and transportation coordination with outside suppliers including plating, heat treating and other services.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Support Quality and Purchasing by evaluating the company relationship with suppliers.
Provide Purchasing information on supplier reliability, timeliness and quality to determine effectiveness and value received. Recommend the retention or cancellation of suppliers based on performance. Directly responsible for the daily relationship with suppliers including expediting products, coordinating delivery and due dates. Correlate production demands with present capacity, projected supplier lead times and transportation availability to determine the appropriate placement and delivery of a new order or expansion of an existing order. Determine the most appropriate and effective method of assuring service availability and release orders with outside service supplier to meet schedule and/or needed service. Audit and review the progress, lead times and schedules of outside suppliers against previously placed orders to assure on-time delivery. May include a requirement to expand existing orders, advance due dates and expedite delays. Manage the process of sending and receiving supplier product/process assessment documents and conduct supplier audits required by IATF16949 and ISO. Update and maintain Supplier Scorecards. Work with suppliers to ensure timely Corrective and Preventative Actions. Inform suppliers of their requirements to supply statutory and regulatory documents and administer the receipt of those documents. Responsible for informing and educating suppliers to make continual progress towards supplier QMS development to achieve IATF16949 standards. Facilitate the movement of work-in-process to the specified outside service suppliers as dictated by the routing.
Review customer order status and production schedules to anticipate, and plan for, receipt of parts from the pressroom and the time available for completion of remaining operations. IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: Familiarity with ISO or IATF16949 or VDA for compliance procedures Knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools such as five whys, cause-and-effect diagram, etc. Familiar with shipping documents and procedures Understand outside supplier processes High attention to details, an excellent communicator, and a personal style that fosters respect and cooperation from the supplier community and internal departments Certified forklift Operator EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years within a quality or logistics function.
