The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all inventory-related activities, including the management of shipping and receiving processes. This role involves planning, organizing, and optimizing inventory procedures to meet production and distribution requirements. The supervisor ensures efficient movement, storage, and processing of inventory, while also identifying and leading opportunities to streamline these activities. Additionally, the supervisor provides support to team members and, as needed, collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
What You'll Do
Location:Eastpoint, GA
Direct Reports:Four direct reports.
Shift:7 AM- 3:30 PM Monday-Friday
Manage inventories of products or organizational resources.
Evaluate quality of materials or products.
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Inspect materials and products to detect defects or malfunctions.
Instruct workers to follow standard inventory procedure in relation to Supply Chain Management.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Controlling Machines and Processes — Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
· Coaching and Developing Others — Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
· Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
· Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
Supervisory responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert when directing employees in completing their daily tasks, in relation to inventory and Supply Chain processes.
May provide real time feedback to ensure consistency and compliance of receiving coordinators.
Report performance and talent findings to leadership as directed.
Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats on occasion.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Associates Degree
Previous inventory related experience.
Experience working in a distribution center.
Ability to lift 45 pounds
Spend time standing.
10-20% potential travel.

The pay: Axon's hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The starting hourly pay for this role is USD 21.15 in the lowest geographic market and USD 31.73 in the highest geographic market. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
