As the Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory, including stock control, auditing, and accuracy across multiple locations or departments.
You will develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy, reduce shrinkage, and optimize stock levels in line with demand forecasts.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of inventory control, including stock audits, cycle counts, and stock movement tracking.Develop and implement strategies to maintain accurate inventory levels and reduce discrepancies.Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to forecast inventory needs and manage reordering processes.Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.Implement inventory control systems and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.Monitor and report key metrics such as inventory turnover, days of stock on hand, and product expiration rates.Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting related to inventory.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.Lead a team of inventory staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management.Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics partners to optimize inventory control processes.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong knowledge of inventory control systems Sage and data analysis tools, Advanced Excel.
Proven ability to manage large-scale inventory operations and improve accuracy and efficiency.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
