Northline Seafoods is a growing, innovative seafood processing company headquartered in the Fairhaven neighborhood of Bellingham, WA seeking an Inventory Manager to join our team! POSITION OVERVIEW The Inventory Manager is an individual contributor role with a large opportunity for growth that will play a critical part in managing inventory across the supply chain, ensuring optimal stock levels, and maintaining accurate records to support operational excellence. This position will report to the Director of Supply Chain and cross-functional teams to oversee inventory accuracy and flow, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels across third-party cold storage facilities and secondary processing sites, ensuring accuracy and availability to meet customer demands. Support the maintenance, improvement and further development of inventory tracking systems, including reconciling discrepancies with customers, third-party providers and internal stakeholders. Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with internal data standards as well as external regulating body requirements. Coordination & Communication Serve as the supporting liaison with third-party cold storage, transportation providers and co-processors for managing inventory transactions. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Sales and Finance to ensure inventory management & reporting aligns with business objectives. Data Analysis & Reporting Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and reduce holding costs. Assist in the tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, turnover, and fulfillment rates. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and enhance visibility across the supply chain. Work with the Director of Supply Chain to implement best practices and new technologies for inventory management. Develop contingency plans for inventory-related challenges, including seasonal fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 3-5 years of inventory management experience, preferably in food processing, frozen goods, or a related industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
Knowledge: Understanding of cold chain logistics, frozen seafood processing, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.

The scope of work for any team member can expand or contract on short notice to meet the immediate needs of the company. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with a pay range of $75,000-$80,000 DOE. Benefits include 4 weeks PTO, 8 paid holidays and medical/dental/vision.

This position will be exposed to wet and extreme cold environments and may need to navigate confined areas.
