As the guardian of our inventory system, this person will ensure that our hardware and parts are tracked, organized, and readily available when they are needed. In this role, the Inventory & Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing Loft's inventory and ensuring accuracy in our system. They will keep track of stock levels, monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain detailed records of inventory transactions. The Inventory & Logistics Specialist will also be responsible for conducting regular physical inventory counts, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory is properly stored and secured. *Research shows that while men apply to jobs where they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized people tend to only apply when they meet 100% of the qualifications. \n About this Role:Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levelMaintain physical inventory shelves, enclosures, bins, and material logistics to keep organized and secured.Send/Receive incoming and outgoing shipmentsConduct regular physical inventory countsIdentify and resolve discrepancies in inventory recordsManage the disposal of obsolete or excess inventoryCoordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and hardwareAnalyze inventory data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementImplement inventory control procedures and best practicesCollaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper accounting for inventoryManage the reconciliation of inventory accounts and resolve any discrepanciesParticipate in annual physical inventory count and reconciliation with external auditors.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in inventory managementDevelop and implement inventory forecasting models to optimize stock levelsManage inventory database and ensure data integrityContinuously assess and improve inventory processes and procedures Must Haves:3-5 years of experience in inventory management, with experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of inventory management systems and proceduresExcellent organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to work with a team and communicate effectivelyStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work autonomouslyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management softwareAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Physical Requirements:Able to hand lift/carry ~50 lbs, and operate pallet jack pushing heavier loadsMay require sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, bending and/or reaching frequently. \n$70,000 - $110,000 a year
State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role, which is $70,000- $110,000 per year which is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.  The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs. Powered by our hardware & software products, we operate satellites, fly customer payloads onboard, and handle entire missions from end to end - significantly reducing the lead-time and risk of a traditional space mission.
Our standard interface enables us to fly multiple customer payloads on the same satellite, with capabilities such as earth imagery, weather & climate /science data collection, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, and national security missions. Our customers trust us to manage their space infrastructure, so they can focus on what matters most to them: operating their mission and collecting their data.
