JOB DESCRIPTION: Sandlin Homes is seeking a talented Inventory Starts and Selections Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creative design skills and practical project management abilities. This role involves crafting beautiful and functional interior spaces and exterior curb appeal. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design Development: Visualize an overarching style/theme for each home and adapt selections to achieve the vision. Conceptualize and design new residential construction projects to make each home desirable, on-trend, and unique. Develop and present design proposals, including mood boards, color schemes, and material samples, for approval. Review and customize detailed design drawings to communicate and implement inspiration – this includes cabinetry, built-ins, paneling, beams, spatial layouts, and more. Selections Management: Work with the purchasing department and vendors to identify products that will achieve the desired style within the allotted budget. Lead the process of selecting and specifying materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings for residential projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, new materials, and innovative products relevant to residential interiors. Project Coordination: Serve as project managers' primary point of contact regarding design and selections. Walk projects under construction to confirm selection choices will work (sizing, colors, flow, etc). Inventory Home Starts: · Select all colors interior colors · Select all exterior colors · Work with 3 rd party design center to select all color elements in the home · Work with drafting team to add design elements into key spaces of the home · Upload all colors into Sandlin ERP system working with Community Sales Managers and internal staff as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field. Strong portfolio showcasing previous design projects with an emphasis on residential interiors & exteriors. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics, design trends, and material applications. AutoCAD skills
