Investment Analyst - High Yield & Leveraged Loans, DirectorNew York Life Investments, part of a $700+ billion investment management organization is seeking to add an Investment Analyst to its High Yield Corporate Credit Group. Current assets under management in the Group's portfolios exceed $25 billion and are growing. Portfolio strategies include institutional, total return, and CLO portfolios investing in high yield corporate debt, CLO tranches and leveraged loans.
What You'll Do: Perform credit research, investment analysis, and portfolio surveillance for specific industry sectors in the high yield and leveraged loans credit markets.Present investment recommendations to the high yield credit committee for approval.Work with the portfolio managers to execute purchase and sale transactions.Develop and enhance relationships with broker-dealers.Meet with issuer management teams to source opportunities and conduct due diligence.Develop and enhance relationships with analysts at broker-dealers and the major rating agencies.Prepare portfolio review reports for management.Monitor existing portfolio holdings for performance and offer timely recommendations with regard to portfolio positioning in covered industries.What You'll Bring: 6-10 years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in credit research with a thorough understanding of leveraged finance.BA required; MBA or CFA is a plus.Meaningful investment experience with leveraged loans and/or high yield bonds, in CLOs and total return portfolios is preferred.Well-developed quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong team player with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks.Pay Transparency Salary Range: $165,000-$200,000

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
