We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy undergraduate or masters-level student to join our Information Technology team as a Business Technology Support Intern.
This internship opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in supporting technology solutions for business operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team to assist end-users, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to various technology-related projects supporting a diverse set of business applications.
Throughout the internship program, the IT Business Technology Support intern will be paired with a mentor to gain insight into Mathematica's work and how IT Services play a key role in the company's success.
Responsibilities: End-User Support Assist with monitoring and triaging Business Technology-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Assist with updating support SOPs and guidelines by evaluating and soliciting recommendations from team members.
Work with team members to identify and develop opportunities to enhance process automation.
Assist and provide support Level 1 user tickets.
Software Inventory Support Assist team with the management of software licensing and chargeback billing.
Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for software inventory.
Document support processes and resolutions for future reference.
Collaboration Collaborate with IT team members on various projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and enhancement releases.
Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to gather information and provide timely updates.
Security Compliance Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect organizational data and systems.
Adhere to security policies and procedures in all technology-related activities.
Technology Trends Research Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry.
Provide recommendations for technology improvements and optimizations.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
If in an undergraduate program, must be entering junior or senior year of program.
Strong interest in technology and eagerness to learn.
Demonstrated analytical skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including SharePoint.
Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

The rates for the intern position ranges from $24 - $27 per hour depending on education and experience.
