Description: New-Indy Containerboard is seeking an experienced hands-on leader in the data architecture space, who is looking to expand their expertise into application management. The Data and Application Solutions Manager will be joining a small, growing group of people developing the structure and teams needed to support New-Indy's growth. The right candidate will have worked hands on, or with, establishing data lakes, ETL tools/frameworks and analytics/reporting technologies within an organization. This candidate would want to expand their knowledge and leadership further into the application space to assist New-Indy in managing and growing its portfolio of enterprise applications used across all manufacturing sites across North America. A successful candidate will have a well-rounded background in business analytics and applications solutions and platforms from the ground up. This person would have spent time working with business partners to assist with their end-to-end analytical needs, beginning with the application through a data lake and into a reporting warehouse. This individual would have spent time with user(s), vendors and business partners at both a low and high level in an organization, to understand how the data in applications work, and how it applies to various business functions. Combining the technical know-how of data analytics with the ability to understand an application's role in business processes will allow the candidate to hit the ground running while growing into the application manager's role. Responsibilities: New-Indy Data Architecture: Leverage your technical skills to assist in the data development workflows and analysis. Work with business partners to validate the data and troubleshoot areas of opportunity. Work with Sr Leadership on the long-term strategy in the space with a focus on flattening the technology portfolio and maintaining maximum supportability. Oversee the collection and storage of data, including data quality, standardization and sharing. Manage data protection and information governance procedures. Drive innovation and enable data usability to support digital transformation in the organization. Application Management: Working with Sr Leadership, assume ownership of the enterprise application stack Work with leadership to develop and maintain and roadmap of the enterprise technology stack Ensure proper maintenance and support of the enterprise application stack Work to continuously improve the applications to ensure they provide the best solution for business operations. Report operational issues to leadership and stakeholders. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, business administration, accounting or 5+ years equivalent work experience in a technology field Experience within, or supporting, a manufacturing environment. Knowledge & Experience Knowledge of data lake, enterprise data warehouse technologies Experience with middleware application stacks, specifically in the ETL/integration spaces Extensive end user data services support Some enterprise application experience, working with or within ERPs and Asset Management tools (MS Dynamics, Maximo, Infor, etc.). Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning. Work Conditions: 40-hour on-site work week. Emergency call-in availability for 24-hour production environment.
