In this role the focus is on financial decisions for Humana's Information Technolgy operations.
This includes but is not limited to assisting with monitoring and governance of financial controls and reporting.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional 1 work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional 1 collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information for senior management to have accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, e.g., acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets.
Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives.
Analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates.
May involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting as well.
Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards.
Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities and follows direction.
Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications 1 - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field Must have at least intermediate proficiency in Excel Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications Financial reporting experience is a plus Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Previous health insurance industry experience working in a Finance/Accounting department Additional Information Hybrid - Home/Office 3 days a week in office.
Ability to commute to our Arlington highly desirable.
