The State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Office of State Information Management, is seeking part-time IT Helpdesk Intern (IS Technical Services Professional) for summer 2024. The hours for this position are expected to be 20 hours a week for approximately 10 weeks. This paid internship experience will offer students practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience. The internship provides an opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths while assisting the agency's IT needs.

The Office of State Information Management (SIM) Services provides customer support to the Department of Military Affairs staff as well as comprehensive IT solutions to business problems. SIM is charged with end user desktop support, infrastructure support, maintenance, and cyber security. This position will build a wide area of technical expertise in the operation and management of multiple system platforms and will need a working knowledge of PC desktop troubleshooting and data network troubleshooting experience. This position should have a solid working knowledge of common administrative tools in Windows.
The pay will be $24.00 per hour.
Limited Term Employees must be a resident of Wisconsin.
In order to gain access to the military facilities and to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled, DMA will conduct a comprehensive background check.
Previous or current military experience is not a requirement.
