In this role the IT Manager will maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, and desktops. The manager will take responsibility for projects and solutions within the business initiative and handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration. This position will also research and evaluate emerging technologies. This is an in-office position Monday through Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
Ensure the company is up to date on the latest security standards to prevent cyber security, phishing attempts, bad actors, etc. Facilitate regimented penetration testing to identify and resolve gaps in security.
Physical location security and monitoring for all locations.
Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features.
Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement and cost savings.
Prepare cost-benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary and monitor vendors to ensure that they're offering the best possible service and value for business needs.
Train employees to use software and hardware: troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups.

EDUCATION AND/OR REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor of Science (BS) (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science or 5+ years of hands-on experience
Professional certification – CompTIA Network+
Five or more years of experience in IT management
Deep knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration and licensing, Active Directory, Networking, preferred experience with Watchguard systems, VLAN configuration and implementation, Microsoft Hyper-V, SAP Business One administration, Patch Management, asset management, Cybersecurity configuration, and monitoring. Microsoft Power/Automate, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
Willing to travel when needed to other locations
