Job Overview: The IT Product Owner is a senior management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy, and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product roadmaps, product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.
Responsibilities: Manage a team of Technical Product SpecialistsInitiate the development process, document project scope, product vision, prioritize user stories, set feature level priorities, conduct demos and walkthroughsHold themselves and Business Analysts accountable for writing stories/tasks that meet the Definition of ReadyDrive alignment of peer Product teams and coordinate with Stakeholder priorities to act as the voice of the customerCreate, prioritize, and maintain a product backlogPerform/oversee user acceptance testing to identify and remedy defects and approve final testing resultsManage the strategic product development and/or existing product enhancement roadmap as well as program development including program launch and marketingLeverage internal/external partners and subject matter expertise to innovate and define new products/solutionsParticipate in formulation of strategies around resource allocation between traditional research and analytics solutions, and data focused solutionsManage the creation and negotiation of client agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and/or vendor contractsInterface with operations and technology for process design and vendor procurementAssess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience in IT Product ManagementExperience in Enterprise Risk ManagementExperience leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve high value business goalsDiverse functional experience (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics)Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive resultsExperience in scenario development and forecasting as well as experience serving clientsDemonstrated knowledge of product development, financial acumen, and investment processes across asset classesAbility to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skillsDemonstrated analytical and influencing skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEducation: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceJob Family Group: Technology
