The IT Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing Murata Electronics North America's Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data as well as systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, incident response, communications, and management.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities) Develop, implement, and maintain information as well as cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and governance. Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks. Manage security awareness training programs for employees to promote best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of security measures with business objectives. Review and approve the implementation of security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption tools, etc. Monitor network traffic for potential security breaches or cyber threats. Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or cyber-attack. Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices in cybersecurity. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Work with the Murata corporate global security team to understand and deliver strategic and tactical security requirements. Perform risk analysis of potential new tools (software, hardware, cloud/SaaS). Perform periodic IT security systems audits to ensure proper application of privileges and correct security configuration.

What Is Required (Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar certification is required. 5+ years of experience in Information and cybersecurity roles in an enterprise environment. 2+ years managing at least one direct report. Experience in implementing and operationalizing established security controls Frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or the CIS Critical Security Controls. Experience in implementing and managing security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, NDR, NAC, DLP, Firewalls, IDS/IPS.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Experience with tailored security policy creation based on an established framework. Experience with performing risk assessments and determining appropriate mitigation of found risks.
Travel
Infrequent local, domestic, and international travel.
