Round Mountain and the nearby Bald Mountain mine make up Kinross' Nevada operations.The Round Mountain mine is an important contributor to the Nye County economy and, working with local stakeholders, has helped achieve significant improvements in healthcare and education in the area.Job DescriptionRequires skilled work and knowledge of repairing Windows, and Linux server/desktop operating systems, network installation and maintenance, including wireless networks, security of LAN/servers/network domains. Installation, upgrade, repair and configuration of desktop computer hardware, software and accessories to support a 300+ desktop computer network. Work with users to identify solutions and optimize computer performance in compliance with company policy and practice. Responsible for daily operations of data backups on servers. Works on telephone system. Performs independent job assignments as directed by IT Superintendent.Job Responsibilities1. Operate servers, to include file/folder security setup and creating user accounts.2. Establish and modify network connectivity including VLAN's and wireless.3. Perform daily operations for data backups.4. Configure, install, and deploy both wired and wireless devices.5. Prepare instructional material for end users, provide training.6. Punctuality and regular attendance are required.7. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.8. Preferred certifications to include Comp TIA Net+, MCSA, and MCSE.4. Two years hands-on experience in technical support for hardware and software required.5. Proficient with Windows desktop and server operating system software.6. Familiarity with common desktop software applications with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.7. Proficient with VMware ESXi.8. Must be dedicated to customer service.9. High work load; must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.10. Must be able to prioritize priority incidents with day to day tasks.11. Familiarity with wiring, cabling, diagrams, connections, communications outlet terminations, and other connect ability hardware.12. Must be able to follow all department SOPs.13. Must be detail oriented.14. Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.15. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with others in a team environment.16. Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.17. Must be available for shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends.18.
