Japanese language Environmental Sustainability Data Scorer roles (3-month FTC September - November)
Do you have a keen eye for data and are passionate about developing a career in environmental sustainability? Are you able to speak and read Japanese at a native or advanced level? We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our fast-paced and diligent scoring team.
Our client scores companies and cities on their environmental performance. We are looking for a number of scorers to contribute to the successful delivery of the 2024 scoring process. This would involve applying scoring methodologies to various English and Japanese language responses across climate change, water security and forests.
For the right candidates this experience could lead to excellent opportunities and supercharge a career in sustainability, with successful candidates receiving training to qualify as a recognised scorer (the role requires scorers to undertake three weeks full time paid training followed by an exam).
Key responsibilities include:
· Working independently, as part of scoring team to deliver the annual scoring cycle.
· Undertake and successfully pass training course to become a certified scorer.
· Scoring corporate and/or city responses to high degree of accuracy in line with scoring criteria
· Perform quality assurance checks against defined scoring criteria
Required skills and experience:
· High attention to detail and ability to work to tight timelines.
· The ability to understand and analyse qualitative and quantitative data.
· Good proficiency with IT tools, MS tools. Role requires basic Excel skills/web browser use.
· Diligent working style with a proven record of working independently under tight timelines to deliver projects successfully.
· (Desirable, not essential) Academic and/or professional experience in climate change, water security, deforestation, corporate sustainability and/or sustainable cities.
· Japanese language ability at either C1 (Advanced) or C2 (Native) level according to the CEFR framework.
Location/hours:
· Training to begin September 2024, work to begin October 2024. Role Finish in October
· Scorers will be expected to WFH.
· Standard UK working day (9am -6pm).
Equipment requirements:
· Scorers expected to have own Laptop device to work from, 2nd screen/monitor is preferable.
· We will provide licences for required software.
