Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Jira Application Administrator for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. About the project: the purpose is to identify over-provisioned or unused resources across the entire cloud estate, liaise with the relevant teams, develop plans to optimize the costs and track and categorize all savings achieved.
You will be critical in optimizing and maintaining the Atlassian product suite, ensuring it functions as the backbone for issue tracking, project management, and cross-team collaboration across the company. A well-maintained Jira environment promotes efficiency in business workflows, enhances communications, and ultimately improves the service we provide to our customers. Your expertise in Jira, Confluence, and other products' administration, customization, governance, and integration will ensure a fully supported, scalable, unified platform to support the company's evolving needs.
This position requires overlap till 10-11 AM PT.
Requirements5+ years of experience managing and administering Jira (Cloud), with solid knowledge of workflow customization, permission schemes, notifications, and security settings.Expertise in using Jira's administrative tools, plugins, and automation features.A proactive approach to identifying system inefficiencies and driving solutions. Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting issues across the Jira platform and its integrations.Hands-on experience integrating Jira into DevOps and ITSM environments using tools such as Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Slack, PagerDuty, and other third-party applications.Understanding IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL processes and how Jira can support them, especially in incident, change, and problem management.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams. Ability to document processes and provide user-friendly support and guidance.Self-driven with the ability to take initiative on projects. You will collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the company to ensure Jira remains a powerful resource that supports business objectives.Nice to haveITIL certification or other relevant credentials.ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of the administration of the Atlassian product suite, including configuration, customization, and daily maintenance of the Jira Cloud instance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Design, implement, and maintain Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, screens, permissions, and notifications to meet the needs of various teams across the organization.Act as the primary Jira support resource, assisting users with troubleshooting, configurations, and best practices.Conduct user education sessions to enhance the use of Jira, Confluence, and other products.Develop automation solutions using Jira and third-party tooling.Establish and enforce Jira governance, ensuring proper use of permissions, security settings, and data integrity.Create custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Ensure data accuracy and timely delivery of metrics that drive decision-making.Stay up-to-date on the latest Jira features, plugins, and industry best practices.
