Essential Duties & Responsibilities The role of a Job Captain is pivotal in ensuring the production of top-tier project deliverables in construction documents across all phases of a project, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. Join this dynamic team and make a lasting impact with the following key responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Project Architect to create project documents for bidding and construction. Contribute to the design and construction schedule, effectively conveying the technical implications of design choices. Lead and direct the architectural and/or engineering team, fostering an orderly, efficient, and coordinated workflow. Provide invaluable support for all tasks essential to the successful project completion. Craft project construction documents with precision and attention to detail. Communicate and coordinate document preparation with consultants, contractors, and team members. Diligently review shop drawings, project submittals, and other materials for document compliance. Maintain thorough documentation of code review and compliance. Foster seamless communication and coordination with management, clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring smooth daily business operations. Occasional travel may be required. Undertake additional duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience Requirements An Architectural degree is a prerequisite. Ideally, 4-8 years of professional experience. Proficiency in using Revit Architecture is a must. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling, Animation, and Rendering computer graphics programs is a valuable asset. DSA (Division of the State Architect) experience is preferred. Previous experience in Educational, Healthcare, Corporate, and Sports projects is advantageous. Strong customer service and organizational skills are vital. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple projects, and adapt to evolving work demands, often against tight deadlines. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to engage with senior management, external client organizations, and vendors.
