This high-performing facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, currently licensed for 938 inpatient beds, featuring a 100-bed emergency department, a state-of-the-art neuro-intensive care unit, and step-down units.
The Miami Neuroscience Institute is also planning an expansion, with a new neurology services building to be constructed in the next 2 to 4 years.
There are ample opportunities for teaching and research through a faculty appointment at a nearby university, which includes training medical students and participating in clinical or basic science research.
