SummaryThis custom commercial architectural millwork manufacturing company is searching for a General Manager. This is a highly key role for this stable and growing company. They have physical room to grow. Someone in this role will be able to create more vertical integration rather than expansion, great rapport with vendors, and be a team leader and cultivator. This is a strictly in-house role (so NO remote) and has the potential for profit sharing and/or ownership as well.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop Plans for ongoing efficiency improvement through both Lean Manufacturing Systems and Capital Investments / CAPEXFull PL, Balance Sheet and Budgeting responsibilities with 5 years experienceFull understanding of Contractual Language and the Lien Waiver processAbility to manage multiple tasks concurrently and follow up on open itemsDirect Reports to include VP Operations, Controller and EstimatingReview Estimates and set Price levels for proposalsClient and Product Development experienceTrack record of delivering resultsRequirementsGeneral knowledge of Project US GAAPCandidate must have B.S Degree or equivalentExperience with Unions and Contract negotiationsUnderstanding of AWI Guidelines and specificationsWork closely when required with current Legal and CPAsDirect Experience in a Commercial Woodworking environmentExperience with Client and Vendor Negotiations and staying current on payoutsCandidate must have minimum 5 years custom millwork industry or comparable experiencePreferred qualifications include experience with Accounts Receivable/Collections as well as Vendor ManagementBe able to interpret and follow current employment law and be the HR liaison as there is no HR department, so be able to interview, hire and terminate employees as necessary.Candidate should be familiar with all MS Office Products, ProCore, Tradesoft - ProjectPAK & ShopPAK, Microvellum engineering software and CAD with Inventor.
