Qualifications:Must be self-motivated and have a positive attitude toward the cooperative.Must have good written and verbal skills.Must have good math skills.Must be extremely reliable and dependable.Must be able to lift 75 lbs.Must be able to work in various weather conditions.Must have a CDL.Must be certified in CPR & First Aid.Must be willing to continue education and training.Prior line work experience a strong plus.Completed EPD program Duties: Assist Journey Level Line worker in:Handle disconnects, connects and reconnectsInstall, remove and maintain dusk to dawn lightsInstall, remove and maintain meter (1F and 3 F) and AMI systemsRead metersInvestigate member issues, including: complaints, collections and outagesAssist in maintaining mapping systemInstall and maintain surge protections equipmentPromote co-op products and servicesPerform line and pole inspectionsAssist with PCB programOperate and maintain tree trimming equipmentAssist with stray voltage and power quality issuesAssist in the compliance with co-op safety manual and NESC and NECAssist other cooperative crews as directedMust be able to handle any other duties as assignedParticipate in the after-hours call-out schedule as well as being available for emergency after-hours workPerform hotline gloving Working Conditions:Position will typically work with other cooperative employeesStrict adherence to all applicable safety rules due to nature of positionVarious weather conditionsTravel as requiredHandling of heavy and hazardous equipment and materials Rate of pay is in accordance with the union contract.
