Job Title: Journeyman - Data Center Technician Reports To: Foreman - Data Center Technician Job Overview : As a Journeyman - Data Center Technician specializing in air containment, secured cage, and network conveyance builds you will be a key member of our data center operations team, responsible for building, and maintaining secure environments within our clients' data centers.
Your assistance in air containment, secured cage, and network conveyance builds will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of our clients' critical infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Perform the coordination and the installation of air containment systems, within secure spaces, ensuring seamless integration, energy efficiency, aesthetics, and functionality.
Execute the construction and installation of security cages, utilizing precision measurement, to ensure sturdy and secure enclosures.
Execute the coordination and the installation of fiber and cable tray, utilizing precision measurement, to ensure sturdy and secure enclosures.
Provide oversight and on the job training for apprentices and junior personnel to ensure that systems and tasks outlined above are being executed safely, properly, and with utmost quality.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and rectify issues efficiently.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements: Position may involve frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Lifting requirements may range up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with heavier weights done in conjunction with other individuals or lifting aids.
