Junior Associate - Employment Law Location: Hybrid (California, Washington D.C., New York, Seattle) Type: Hybrid Overview: An AM 100 Law Firm is seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law to join our dynamic Employment Group. With offices across California, Washington D.C., New York, and Seattle, we are a leading technology and life sciences law firm known for our cutting-edge litigation practice.
This position is ideal for candidates who have a strong background in employment law, particularly in advising early to mid-stage start-up companies. You will have the opportunity to engage in both litigation and counseling on a wide variety of employment law issues.
Key Responsibilities: Advise employers on employment law matters, including wage/hour issues, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments.Prepare and review employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.Represent clients in employment law litigation, including single plaintiff and complex cases.Counsel employers on compliance with California state and local employment laws and best practices.Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on both litigation and counseling.Strong understanding of employment law, particularly California state and local laws.Proven litigation skills and experience with various employment law issues, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.Must be a member of the California Bar.Strong academic background and a business-minded approach to problem-solving.Compensation and Benefits: Salary range: $235,000 - $310,000, based on experience, qualifications, and location.Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, life insurance, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, and wellbeing programs.Discretionary performance-based bonus opportunities.To Apply: Please complete our online application, including a cover letter, resume, and law school transcript.
