Primary Objectives: The Junior Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the manufacturing operations by analyzing production data, workflow, and processes. This role demands a strong foundation in data analysis tools and systems, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and productivity through data-driven insights. Specific Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed).
Utilize PowerBI, SQL, and advanced Excel skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to manufacturing processes. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes within the plant. Leverage knowledge of manufacturing systems such as CMS, Epicor, and AS400 to extract data and integrate information for comprehensive analysis. Suggest improvements and upgrades to existing systems to enhance data accuracy and process efficiency. Analyze manufacturing operations to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancements. Work closely with production teams to implement data-driven recommendations and monitor the impact of changes on operational performance. Collaborate with various departments to ensure data needs are met and the analytical support is aligned with business objectives. Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Apply financial analysis principles to assess cost-effectiveness and profitability of manufacturing operations. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, linking financial outcomes with operational metrics. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in data analysis, manufacturing systems, and financial analysis. Continuously enhance skills in data manipulation, visualization, and analysis techniques. Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, macros, and pivot tables). Strong understanding of data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI. Familiarity with SQL for querying databases. Knowledge of manufacturing software systems like CMS, Epicor, and AS400 is a plus. Background in finance or accounting is highly desirable, providing insights into cost management and financial planning. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
