Overview: SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Junior Engineer to provide systems engineering and analysis support for our Navy customer. The Junior Engineer will work with a team of SimVentions and government personnel and duties will include troubleshooting/investigating logs to determine if code was working to specification, if the code deviate from requirements, is code the issue or as a result of code from another program, etc. Updating and creating requirements and providing knowledge to other programs. Travel: Negligible Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Requirements: Ability to effectively communicate status of tasking in meetings and in writing. Responsibilities: Requirements EngineeringTesting in the LabProvide Weekly ReportsRisk Assessments Qualifications: TBD Preferred Skills and Experience: Interest in learning systems engineering disciplines related to Navy systems.Experience in MagicDraw.Understanding of Product Line Architecture (PLA) design, implementation, and integration.Experience with DOORs for engineering and maintenance of requirements.Desired use of Python scripting to analyze issues discovered with code Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required Compensation:  $60,000 - $85,000 (Please see below for more info on salary)  Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.   The projected annual compensation range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.    Benefits: At SimVentions, we're committed to supporting the total well-being of our employees and their families.
