The Role: Debtwire, the leading provider of global fixed income news, analysis and data for more than two decades, is looking for a private credit reporter eager to learn how to break news in the hottest growth area on Wall Street.
Working on the news desk in New York - with sweeping views of Central Park - candidates will be expected to generate scoops on new deals launched by direct lenders and private credit funds, from financing for M&A transactions to corporate refinancing and special situations. While we provide extensive market training on the job, the ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of finance and a willingness to study the dynamics driving the current boom in the private credit space.
Debtwire private credit reporters are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources at private credit funds, law firms, advisory shops and beyond, but will also collaborate extensively with fellow reporters and analysts across Debtwire and Mergermarket to break news in a highly competitive space.
Experience covering financial markets and/or debt finance are a requirement. The position will offer the opportunity for travel and moderating at conferences.

\nSalary Range: The estimated salary range is $90,000 - $120,000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
